Item Details
Saunders and Shepherd were founded in London in 1869 by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders Sr. and James Francis Hollings Shepherd, where they set-up a workshop at Bartlett’s Buildings in Holborn Circus. Less than fifty years on, the manufacturing of stylish items like this elegant oval trinket box were happening in Birmingham and the business continued to develop a reputation for quality and innovative products that kept abreast of rapidly changing fashions.
This trinket box engraved 'R' has been refurbished in ‘sea tones’ of pale green silk and velvet, along with a silvered rope embellishment to the perimeter of the base.
