Item Details
This trio of equestrian themed place-card holders are by the Pairpoint Brothers and assayed in London in 1896.
The firm is principally known as manufacturers of large and important works, such as centrepieces, presentation vases, and the like.
Consequently it is possible that this trio was manufactured as a 'flourish' to a much grander full table setting with an equestrian theme, perhaps even whimsies for the guests at an important dinner to cherish as a lasting memory. Alas we may never know...unless you have a family story to recount?
