Item Details
This frame is an early 20th century execution of an early Victorian design, i.e. not thoroughly decorated with scrolls, swags and all the other affectations of 'High Victoriana'.
Pleasingly this means the frame still has a place in many different settings in today's homes.
As can be seen in the photograph, it elevates a simple postcard of a variety of teapots into something quite decorative.
Swathed in hand dyed Royal Blue velvet and matching washed silk this frame is great value for money.

Despite knocking on the door of 120 years of service, this frame has little downside with; just a 'few polish holes', light surface scratching and a couple of very small dinks to the silverwork. That said, it is a great aesthetic and practical piece and is of solid construction with original fitments. All velvet and silk replaces original fabrics that were beyond redemption.
