Antique Silver Pill or Ring Box by William Comyns

Ref: P23 - 94
Sold
This delightful silver box is from the respected silversmith William Comyns and exemplifies why their output is so sought after. Never one for skimping on detail, this fascinating little box includes: an embossed line of beautifully executed scroll-work around the waist; a pierced lid; a further embossed depiction of lilies; and an elegant rope-work framing of the lid. The three lilies could mean purity, life and remembrance, new beginnings, or a symbol of love, aaah!
