An unusual and rare domed lid: earring, ring, trinket or keepsake box - made by the respected silversmiths at S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd.
This lovely box; sits on four paw shaped feet, has a gilt interior to the lid, the padded base is lined with a bright turquoise silk , whilst the underside is finished with a complimentary turquoise leather.

ConditionThe silver is in very good condition with the lightest of surface scratches and little in way of the dinks and knocks that you might expect in an item that is well over 100 years old.
The lid and hinge are solid and in good condition. The lid closes easily and is a reassuringly tight fit.
The restoration, whilst contemporary is clean; simple and robust, ensuring another 100 years of solid service.
