Item Details
Here we have an Art Deco period silver [marked Sterling Silver on the reverse] brooch in the form of a Bluebird.
Bluebirds are a North American group of medium-sized, mostly insectivorous or omnivorous passerine birds in the genus Sialia of the thrush family and were used extensively in decorative work during the Deco period.
In the US many believe the sight of bluebirds is emblamatic of joy and hope; others, that good news will be arriving soon.
