Condition is good, although the inscription and assay marks are well polished but readable. Overall, the box shows that it has been well loved, with wear and dinks commensurate with age. We have furnished the interior with crimson silk to the lid and olive-green velvet to the base. The bottom of the box has also had a green leather base fitted. The box does wear the smallest of smiles that could be corrected (see picture of closed box), although we concluded this might result in unnecessary stress to the silver elsewhere.
