Item Details
The photograph here, demonstrates this 'normal' Sampson Mordan chick that is for sale here, against the largest chick we've seen and may still be for sale...if you are lucky!
The evergreen Sampson Mordan ‘Chick Pin-cushion’ is not only a design classic, but also a testament to the man who, as an apprentice to Joseph Bramah, could never have believed his work on patenting the mechanical pencil would then blossom into such a massive boom in small silver items being manufactured by silversmiths in workshops across the British Isles and subsequently exported across the world.
Make no mistake this chick is the real deal, carrying not just the famous Sampson Mordan & Co makers mark [SM&Co], but also the Chester [rubbed] Assay as well as the design registration number [475678]
