Space - the Final Frontier Brooch

Here we have a small and seemingly unimportant piece of jewellery and in all likelyhood it probably is totally unimportant. The harsh reality is, that in the mid 1960's hundreds of small pieces of unmarked jewellery like this were designed, manufactured and sold. Many had names attached to them, but many more were anonymous and spread silently across the world, riding the 'space frenzy' that gripped the world. Nevertheless, with nothing to distinguish it from millions of others, this example is still a pleasant way of lifting the look of a simple; jumper, blouse jacket or shirt.
